Just because Jesus didn't say anything against homosexuality doesn't mean he approved it. Where does it say that he supports it?
Actually MOST KNOWLEDGABLE CHRISTIANS are staying away from the KJV, heard it from my minister a few years ago when I attended regularly. I forget the reasons, however, the bible doesn't have to explain anything. Your faith is judged, not the text.
Who are you trying to kid here, sir? Please. I feel that giving a lengthy and thorough answer as to why the KJV is still ok wouldn't be appreciated here. I agree that the Bible doesn't contain everything necessary for salvation.
St. John 20:25 makes it clear that there Jesus said and did more things than what the world has in the Bible. As far as women goes, I think a lot of people misunderstand their role. Sometimes the Israelites let their bias get in the way a little. After all, they blame Eve for making man mortal. That just comes from a lack of understanding of Eve's role. (Of course, the Bible doesn't really make it too clear either. But that was because of the numerous translations that it went through...sometimes things were thrown out.)
The custom during Jesus' time women were not really taught...or at least, they were taught seperately from the men. However, Jesus made it a point to teach both men a women. Adam and Eve were told what their responsibilities were. There's a difference between presiding and being a dictator. Scriptures in the Bible:
1 Cor. 7:3; 1 Cor. 11:11; Eph. 5:23; Eph. 5:25; Eph. 5:33; 1 Pet. 3:7.
But of course the Bible doesn't answer everything. Knowing that, I don't have rely on the Bible alone for God's word. That's all.
