What is your view of religion in these days in light of the recent events? Do you still turn to it for prayer and understanding? Do you feel like religion has been twisted and raped to make it fit your own point of view (like how bin laden is twisting it)? do you even care?
I think it's time we all need to take a step back and rethink our own personal views on religion. I for one have a different view of religion now as an adult then what i was taught as a child. It was much more innocent and loving when i was younger.. however, in light of recent events, my view of religion is far more personal now.
I don't think religion should be practiced as a group. I think religion should be taught to be a more personal and spiritual process. It should be just You and your God.. everyday. I'm not saying get rid of organized group religion. Groups can be very helpful in adding insight to a religion as in going to church and such. But the focus of religion should stop leaning towards going to church every sunday and more towards talking to your own God everyday. Before you flame me, just think about it..
How many times have people done horrible things in the name of God? How many times have those actions been done in huge groups of people? A lynch mob is much more powerful when it's a mob, and not a single person.
All i'm saying is if religion were a much more personal process.. maybe we'd have less fanatics running around.
Maybe i don't know what the hell i'm talking about and i should shut up.. or maybe not. I'm just putting my thoughts into words.. just think about it for a second.
