Study in 4 Muslim dominate countries paints a very scary picture. While it must be said that a little more than half think that killing civilians is against Islam nearly a quarter think otherwise.


There is strong disapproval of attacks by ?groups that use violence against civilians, such as al Qaeda.? Large majorities in Egypt (88%), Indonesia (65%) and Morocco (66%) agree that such groups ?are violating the principles of Islam.? Pakistanis are divided, however, with many not answering.

Lets see, there are nearly 1.4 BILLION Muslims, that means nearly 250 MILLION think its okay to murder people in the name of their goals... Lovely.

So the real issue is, how does the world go about trying to change this view these maniacs hold? That large percentage can effectively hamstring the majority who don't see it as a valid tactic.
 
Well, how many Americans (not just Christians, but athiests, agnostics, Jews) thought that going to war with Iraq which automatically means killing civilians (collateral damage we call it) was OK?

The Iraqis didn't pose a threat, yet we went right through them in order to get Saddam when they hadn't done a thing to us.

We haven't the moral highground to convince anyone of anything. That's gone.

We wage war, starting by combating the ideology they use as a vessel to requite fighters in our own soil.

Of course to do that we?d have to convince the libs that people who have sworn to kill us and supplant our laws aren?t our friends. Don?t know if that?s possible, but those evil Christians get them up in arms and frothing at the mouth.

I'd say we bottle the whole region up, stop all immigration and trade, and let them sort themselves out. The place was screwed the moment we tried to introduce a western style societal structure back in the colonial days. They naturally lean towards small tribal and factional structures, so let them do it. The whole concept of central governments, strong borders, etc just doesnt seem to mesh well with them.

Muslims believe in killing civilians. If we go to war against a muslim country we have to fight them using their own tactics. Kill them all. This scares most Americans. Muslims will never ever fight a fair fight. They teach their people it is ok to lie to people who are not Muslims, so they can never be trusted. No agreement with a Muslim needs to be kept, because they dont believe in any agreement they make with a non-muslim. There is no way to talk to a muslim nation or coming to an agreement other than thru brutal force, murder and destruction.

Totally agree with you. They just need to die.. we just need to "kill them all." Guantanamo is a start but we need to take lessons from Auschwitz.. gas chambers, labor camps. Systematic execution. These crazy muslims cannot be trusted.

That was one government that had no qualms about killing an entire village to get one "troublemaker", or about torturing people to get the information they wanted, and how did THAT end?


I certainly don't have any rational answers for the troubles over there, but we have created a sh*tstorm of epic proportions by invading Iraq and taking out the one person who seemed to be able to hold it all together. While Saddam was a horrible brutal leader, it seems that's what's necessary to keep these factions from a civil war.
Maybe it's time to "light the nuclear candle" and turn the ENTIRE middle east into a "permanently-lit parking lot" with nothing sticking up aboce the fused glass except American owned oil wells...( we KNOW that'd work well for us :roll: )

The soviets problem is that they didn't go into it trying to take over but to decide who would. Hence they simply erred by not killing all of them.
