Yes God knows everything you will do before you do it. Yet, he gives you free will to make your own choices.
The most common argument I hear as to God's existence is this:
If there is a God, then why does he allow evil in the world?

The answer is simple, He allows evil to exist (for a short time) to give us all a choice....will we follow the path of righteousness or the path of darkness.

If he knows everything you're going to do, there is no choice. The choices you make are predetermined.

And if god created everything, god created evil.

Thats the beauty of it, He knows what you are going to do....yet He allows you to do it, whether it be right or wrong. If your choice is wrong, He will use it for good.

Say on a certain date and time, you decide you are going to get on a public transit bus with an assault rifle.....say you shoot and kill ten of the 33 people on board.... how many of those 33 people who have just had a close brush with death, with evil, are going to rethink their paths and ultimately give their lives to the Lord?

Yes you shot and killed 10 people on that bus, and yes again He allowed it. Because He does not affect free will (the choices you make).

He created Evil. Lucifer is a created being, a fallen angel who was given a choice just like you and me. Lucifer's own pride caused his downfall. Lucifer (satan) is allowed to exist on Earth, as ruler of Earth, as part of God's plan of free will. His plan of choices. Until such time as His return to reclaim what is His own. Which is you and me.

If God knows everything from the second you are born to the second you die, where is free will? If the second you are born, God knows you will be a mass murderer, and die in the electric chair, how do you have free will? Where can you make a choice? If you truly have free will and change your destiny, then God is not all knowing. If God is truely all knowing, then the only thing you have is the ILLUSION of free will. You can not have an all knowing God AND have free will. It's one or the other.

Yeah. But that's a fvcking ridiculous theory. Why would a being create the universe, then just ignore it? Did he get bored or something? Why the hell create it in the first place?

Just because He knows what you are going to do, doesn't mean he has control over what you will do. Hence, free will. Your choices are made by him, but yourself. IE, He commanded thou shall not murder but people still murder. Do you think he made you murder that person? No, you did that out of free will.

I'm not commenting on the theory, I'm just pointing out to the OP that he's not really Christian.

Yes, but is what we do something he designed to begin with, only giving us the illusion of free will?

You have a very pessimistic view and seems like you assume God is vindictive and hateful. You think he wants to send people to eternal damnation and it makes him happy to destin people to there?

Well, if God knows everything, and God created everything, then God knew that Charles Manson was going to eat people when he was created. So in a sense, God did create Charles Manson to eat people.

Hardly. You're way off.

Yes, and I just happened to get a copy of my record emailed to me.

Looks like I'm scheduled for a 3-way with the Olsen twins this Tuesday! WOOHOO!!! GOD ROX!!! 😀

I love it when the religious fall back on one or the other depending on their situation. "God gave us free will to decide our own fate" and "God has a plan and we're just following it" are mutually exclusive concepts.
Its all about choices, and which path you choose to follow. God has a plan for you and for me, but its up to us as to whether or not we are going to follow through with it.
God must be pretty damned bored to sit and watch us go through what he knows is already going to happen.

Doesn't he have any other hobbies? Has he even once thought of creating an alternate universe and fvck around with their minds?

we don't have a definite plan where we are supposed to go, God knows where we will end up but we have to make the decisions which will shape our lives.
