I wanted to mention something I have said before, The Russians hacked the DNC and the RNC and only released the DNC stuff or so I have heard, I think. If so why isn't blackmail the go to choice as to why Republicans are standing behind Trump rather than the country and the rule of law. Maybe they are willing to be traitors because they already are and one source would nail them while the other they have a chance of pulling off.

I'm gonna say the memo won't be released. The value of the memo is its secrecy. As long as it's opaque and ghostly, claims of "deep state interference" and terrible acts on the part of the FBI can be claimed without any substantiation. The point isn't to expose anything, it's to stoke people's deepest fears about law enforcement and the intelligence committee in order to discredit them. It's probably already served it's purpose.

That has been one of the predominant issues with the Intelligence community and the Military all along, that were vehemently opposed to Trump from his campaign on. It's not so much that he is "colluding" (a term that tends to refer to a blanket of compromising issues involving his family and Russian oligarchs and Intelligence), but that Russia has so much dirt on him and his empire, that he is thoroughly compromised. He's not an active agent, but a "retarded agent," as he is officially referred to by the CIA.

This is what Hillary referred to when she called him a puppet. He pretty much has lost control of the ability enact policy against Putin, because Putin controls his finances and very likely his freedom. When you consider how boldly and unapologetically he acts to defend Putin at all costs, and ignore all US policy to sanction their proven and well-known meddling in our elections, it really lends no open question as to what is going on. Trump believes that what Putin has on him, and can do to him, is in fact worse than what could happen to him when he acts in defiance of US policy and against our national security interests.

That way of thinking is far too subtle and nuanced for Trump. Mark my words. He'll release the memo.

I honestly think this is the best approach to take with Republicans right now - tell them to think of how their children and grandchildren will judge them one day if they continue on their journey. It'll be a permanent stain on their name.

I hope so. Open everything, we need to know all of it.

I think it (the memo) will get a late afternoon or early evening release. Classic Friday dump to distract from how big of a dud it is. The other side won't care that it flopped, it's the principle of releasing it at all that aggravates them. The memo will be a huge regret by Monday. Or is that Yuge?

That would sound better had he 'stood up' fully at his pre-election hearing about buttery males. He was selective in what he spoke up about, makes me feel he shouldn't be talking about weasels.

I do appreciate the FBI speaking up though.

Maybe. Maybe not. Everything is speculation until we see it. Which hopefully will be tomorrow.

The avalanche of leaks in response with counter info will be astonishing.

I doubt that the memo will be able to stand on its own weight. It will undoubtedly overlook highly pertinent public information to deliver its payload of slime.

Problem even after the release of the memo we still won't have all the info so how can a reasoned judgement be made?? That won't happen until the Dem memo release and release of all the underlying intel.

So that means no one in this forum can make any conclusions for a minimum of 10 days. That's when the Democratic memo is due to be released.

Who to believe? Straight arrow FBI types or Trump's crown prince of slime?

The memo supposedly implicated some of these straight arrow FBI types so maybe, just maybe, they might not be telling the whole truth?

again prepaired by Nunes staff. Possibly in coordination with the White House

These are things we know.
