Relationship with the boss

Do you ever send emails or do other things that the boss "should" be doing? How does he or she react? Do you feel you are more qualified than your boss? How do you deal with it..

Stepping into their role when you know they might be sensitive about it is just asking for trouble. Unless your job is directly on the line if your team fscks up, I would realistically let my boss screw up rather than cause that kind of friction.

Yea.. my job is not a career or a major source of cash.. so I don't care if I get fired etc etc. (I also know I won't be.. but thats another story)

But I was wondering how it is in the real world...

My boss and I are friends. I'm better at some things, he's better at others.

When it comes to work though, he's the boss. If he asks me to do something, I do it.

I'm lucky in that I have a great boss.
