Is this someone you just walked up to and said "hey baby wanna be my girlfriend?" or is it someone you have known for a while? If it's the latter you may be in THE FRIENDSHIP ZONE from which very few men ever escape. If that's where you are just leave it be or you will risk ruining a friendship.

and so he is kinda asking her if she would just consider it
(if i got my story right)

dude, its not about me... hehe. my fren here is having heartaches and i got sick of trying to console him... hehehe... so seeking some fresh opinions...

So what exactly happened when he asked her?

What did he ask her and what did she say??

....here I go pulling out my old psychology and human relations books....

Probably not, unless something significant changes to make your friend think the answer may be different the 2nd time.

shinerburke.... i think it doesnt matter.
i think what Yomama said is right.

I think if she has already made up her mind, then there is really nothing more to talk about. hehe. Maybe i can persuade the guy to give it up and introduce the girl to me. :p

id say not to beat around the bush (figuratively speaking) and if he has the guts, just kiss her and she how she reacts....say "ive wanted to do that since the moment I met you" and if she doesnt like it than its time to forget it and move on...the rejection will help you get over the idea of her being your gf...

A is asian.

If she said no the first time, that probably means the physical attraction isn't there. If it's not there in the first place, it probably won't ever be. So I'd say no.

Why would it be a factor if she is asian? Once someone is in the friendship zone, it sucks 'cuz there's no real escaping that.. either two people feel it for one another or they don't.. at least that's what i think. This doesn't exclude fooling around tho! :)

Well it really hard to answer this question without all the details.

First I suppose it would help if we knew how long they have known each other?

Here are two personal experiences they might or might not help.

Story 1

When I was 24 I met this Italian girl. Anyway it was YM_M4I5S3S_2 lust at first site. I mean when I saw her I said to myself "I'm going to go out with that girl". I asked her out and she said she was not interested :(. Nothing happened for a couple of month. As she got to know me she started to drop hints that she might be interested in going out with me. So I asked her out again. This time she said yes. We went out for eight month before she dumped me. We've hated YM_M4I5S3S_3 ever since :).

Story 2

A few month ago I suddenly decided that I liked this Asian girl that I had been friends with for several years. Well I asked her out and she said she just wanted to stay friends. It was actually kind of cool because she though about it for YM_M4I5S3S_4 days before gave me an answer. Since I respect her YM_M4I5S3S_5 I wont be asking her out again.

So you see it really depends on the situation. Abbe over and out :).
