I am about ready to format and reinstall XP on my 10GB partition.
I currently have my Documents and Settings for all users on the C: drive. I am going to copy them to another HD before I wipe it.

After re-installing XP, I want all the Documents and Settings to be on the D: drive.
I know theres some tricks on how to move a users settings which I've found through Googling, but I am wonder how it will create any new users on that same d: location.

ie: d:\documents and settings\newuser

do all new users (when I create a new user) go where I have the "Default User" directory? which I will move over to d:\documents and settings when done re-installing XP.

I want to keep my stuff on the D drive.. so if I ever have to re-format my C: partition I can minimize the file shuffling I need to do.
for example, on my Work laptop they have it setup so there is absolutely no "Documents and Settings" folder on the C: drive where the OS is installed. Its all on D:. That way if they ever have to reinstall the image onto my C, my documents are still intact.

thanks. saw that in Google, and had hoped there was a not-so-manual registry entry sort of way to do it during the fresh XP install.
I'll likely resort to that as soon as my install is complete.
