Reinstalling windows

I have windows installed on the harddrive im using now, but im going to buy a new harddrive and a new copy of windows. It will just run windows from the new one right? I should be able to delete it off of the other harddrive. How exactly do you delete windows though? I dont want to clear the harddrive. thanks.

you best best is to install windows on your new drive and copy everything over from your old to your new. then format the old drive

if yer current install is in good shape you could use norton ghost to clone the old drive to the new drive and then format the old drive.

You should check your BIOS and make sure you are booting from the CD when you install an OS.

After the installation, change the BIOS to boot from the new HDD first. Then get into the OS and copy stuff over. Save the old HDD for an emergency OS intallation (you never know).
