reinstalling Windows XP on C Drive with partioned HD

I have been having trouble with IE on my system and have been unable to fix it. I have an 60 GB Maxtor HD with three equal partions (C, D & E). The Windows OS is on the C drive. My question is can I wipe the C drive clean and reinstall Windows XP without affecting the data on the other two partitions? IF so, I can just move all the data files I want to keep onto the other two drives. Thanks.

The d and e partitions will not be effected by reformatting the c partition. If you have Windows apps on them, they will not work until they are re-installed though as the new installation of windows will not have the necessary entries and settings to run the apps. All data will be acessable though.
