i have windows 2000 on one hdd and red hat linux 8 on another. i dual boot with the GRUB loader. I have to reinstall windows b/c of video and agp troubles -- but if i reinstall windows 2000, will the MBR be screwed with and will i automatically go into 2000 every time? can i change this? i still want to be able to dual boot.

my dad reinstalled 98 behind my back in the past with a similar situation except it was red hat 6.2 and win98 on the same hdd ... i used boot magic but the 98 reinstall forced boot into windows everytime.

let me know if there's anything i can do during the install to override this or if i will have to do anything else.

thanks

Which hd is GRUB on? The windows or linux one? If it's on the windows one the it will be overwritten. It's not hard to fix though, just boot into rescue mode off the Redhat CD and reinstall GRUB.
