reinstalling W2k

suppose I wanted to reinstall W2k in my system, would it delete my other files and programs in the drive? Thanks

If you do a reinstall over the current install all of your programs will remain intact. However, installing an OS over a copy of itself is not recommended.

thanks for the feedback, but may I ask why u said over a copy of itself is not recommended?
The reason I wanted to do that is because I wanted to make some errors go away
