Reinstalling OS on new cpu & mobo...Questions

Just ordered a newer mobo and cpu (combo from the Egg) to replace the aging ECS and 3800 cpu.
The new mobo has the same exact chipset nf4 j(s939) ust like my current one.
Would the hardware replacement like this prompt me for OS re-installation along with a pair of RAID0 drives already configured?
Current OS is x64 window, btw.

sometimes on the same chipset you will have no issues, but most likely you will need to do a repair install

it can be done, regardless of chipset, though i forgot where the guide was....

thanks for finding that link. i need to do the same thing soon. i had fits last time i did it before finding the same info in the link you posted. you would not believe some of the steps people went through to do this simple thing.
