Hi
my brother who lives in another town reinstalled win98 last night from his Sony CD becasue he was getting some scripting error in MSIE or something like that.

So far it looks like his data files are there (like quicken files). Once he reinstalls Office 2000, will all his Outlook email data be there too? (Those 2 programs are all he uses). Would his bookmarks be there too somewhere?

Anything we need to consider?

Thanks

They should be there. reinstalling, withouth formatting, should leave all current files in place. Win98 reinstall just overwrites all the standard installation files.

He called me at 7 am and told me he had already used the Sony CD and now what? Could I drive over and help him!!!!!! I told him he just has a few CDs to reinstall software (the majority being Office)- not worth a 3-4 hour drive each way. Cripes!! Brothers! ;)
