Regular CD to CD text

How can I copy a regular store bought music CD to a blank CD-R and add text from CDDB? I think you can do it with Nero, but any time I try it Nero fails to burn and locks the CD burner requiring a reboot.

Does anyone know how to fix Nero or know of another program that will do this?

Use Nero to make raw WAV's out of the original CD...

then burn them onto an Audio CD with CDText.

Nero can convert them for you automatically.

Audio CD -> In file browser select your CDRom with the Audio on it, then drag them from the bottom pane.

I was just going to post the same question. I used to use fuerio(which was awsome-as soon as you entered a cd it would check cddb & add all cd-text for burning), but it doesnt support my new burner(cendyne 48x16x48) 🙁 I also have nero, but it doesnt seem to work with the cddb. anybody know of any other burning programs that will check cddb & add the text to cdrs when you burn?

Thanks, that is actually what I tried. The problem is that Nero crashes when I then try to burn that CD. Actually Nero tries to start burning, gives an error and the ususal save, discard, etc... buttons. But after that the CDRW drive is locked and can't be physically opened by pushing the button and can't be accessed from windows.

I'm using a Plextor PX-W8432T which should support CD-TEXT.

I'm going to give Feurio a try but its made by the same people who make Nero.

Zoinks, after some testing of other software I found ez-cd creator to be just as good as fuerio(in fact its better because its more user friendly-fuerio is more of an advanced program). I was having the same problems with nero. Hope this helps

First off if you are copying audio cds you should really be using Exact Audio Copy (freeware, actually postcardware).
Anything else is second rate. To add cdtext in EAC you must have the cdtext setting checked for your writer, then it is just a matter of copying the image or doing a compilation after downloading the cd info from freedb.
