registry wreak

I have been having this problem with my computer where it will ramdomly say that there is a system registry error and windows will restart to fix the problem.i ahve done a fresh install, formated every thing.eg put the computer into a coma and then tought it all its tricks again.

spec
Mobo epox ep-mpv3g2
asus tnt2-v3800
amd6-2 450
128Mb pc-100

so if any one has had any experiance in this problem could you pls tell me how to get out of this muck.. thank you

Copy from another Registry problem
Have you tried running Scanreg from the DOS prompt? Boot into Dos from the F8 startup menu and then type Scanreg. It will scan and fix the registry if it can, comes with Windows and made by Microsoft. Not at DOS prompt, but DOS boot.

I work on Dell computers that are fixed with this after the software we install gets them messed up. Try it and let me know.
