Hello, I have a simple problem.

I have recently reformated my C:\ drive and lost all of my previous registry entries for my installed games on drive D:\, so all of my games are actualy on the hard drive but aren't recognized by the registry.

I recently purchased the doom 3 expansion and it won't instal unless i literally re-instal doom 3 itself. This would be really lame because I have modded it like crazy, and there's no way I could back up what i've changed.

Sooo, what i'm wondering is if there is any way I can manually enter the doom 3 registry entries making it possible to instal the doom 3 expansion WITHOUT reinstaling doom 3?

people with the game instaled could definately be of big help and grab those entries for me...or anyone whos a super guru would be cool as well...

thanks ahead of time =D

I'm not in front of my doom box or I would hook you up.

What you can do that might be slightly less painful:

rename your current doom directory (the one with all mods/add-ons etc).
Install doom 3
delete the whole doom 3 folder (just delete it, don't "uninstall" it)
move/rename your modded one back over the top of the one you just installed.

It obviously won't spare you a reinstall, but it spares you a reinstall+adding all the crap back.
