I'm looking for RAM for my system and often see Registered RAM listed. How is registered RAM different from regular RAM? Is it more reliable, slower, faster?
registered is slower. It has buffer chips so that the chipset can recognize lots of chips or something. It doesnt work with irongate boards, and most kt133/kx133/via 133a/133 boards. Dont buy it unless you have an intel board.
