You have to admit the growling sound the newer Firebirds make is pretty cool. :) Wonder how long the engineers worked on that one.........

Listen to any V-8 Mustang made in the last 15 years, especially some of the newer Cobras. I think that's the most common distinctive exhaust note in the US...

hmmm, guess I have never noticed anything distinct about the Mustangs, though all V8's definately sound better then anything else. I am not even sure the Firebird I am referring to is a V8 though, it is not a rumble but a weird sound that really does sound like a growl.

Fvck that noise! I've got a 460ci and you can't even hear it run. It's even got a resonator as well as dual converters and monster muffler to keep it quiet.

My LS1 thru headers and random tech full exhaust w/2 1/2" cats sounds pretty convincing as well ;)

Hey, I am going to lead my own thread astray here, Ornery, what would you think a 1969 460 with a C6 transmission attached and an extra block and heads would be worth? Engine is out of car and I have not seen it run, but insides look clean and the car has about 86,000 miles on it.
