Yeah, Newegg laid a egg on the dead pixel policy. It doesn't even matter where the dead pixels are!

Dell have a 6 pixel limit.
BB & CC allow returns up tp 14 days. However, I *think* BB has a 14% restock fee?
Samsung was supposed to have a 0 defect policy, but I don't recall if it was world wide, or only S. Korea.

Forgot about Fry's for those that have this store. It allows 30 days from what I recall.
Also Tigerdirect.com has a no questions asked 30 day return policy on LCDs..

Though, I would VERIFY first, just to make sure whomever you buy a LCD unit from.

There is a 30 dollar rebate for the new version of this monitor, Wonder if it will work with refurbished one. (doubt it, but there is always hope)

If I had 7 dead pixels, you can bet on it that I'd make sure there was another "defect" in the monitor that warranted return 😉

I had to replace my aging 21" CRT and got the 204B. This is my first LCD, so I'm no expert, but I really, really like it. I play a lot of BF2 and FPS.

204t from what I've read has higher image quality and better blacks than the 204b

As far as the rebate I will try it out once I get it

204b has better response times for gaming, but professional image editing folks and others who rely on color accuracy and such like the 204t. I'm a FPS player, so I just shoot the critics in the head ;-)

I was going to purchase a notebook from Newegg, until I saw the dead pixel policy and this in their return policy:

"Products that state "This item can be returned to the product manufacturer only" must be returned directly to the product manufacturer for repair or replacement, unless otherwise required by law. For these items, the warranty policy from the product manufacturer explicitly requires that any returns, repairs etc. be requested and processed directly by the consumer (or "end-user") of the item. More specific Newegg.com return policies are designated for the item categories listed below.

Notebook and Tablet PCs

"Notebook/Tablet PCs are not returnable to Newegg.com."

I guess if it arrives DOA Newegg won't take it back and you have to send it to the manufacturer.

Once I knew, I said no to Newegg.
