I had one Gigabyte mobo refurb from Newegg blow a new OEM 1700+ B T-Bred (from same order)....Cheers to Newegg, They replaced the CPU and refunded me on the mobo and did'nt charge me restocking fees.

Second refurb was an Asus P4PE which after BIOS flash is running perfectly!

Neither came with any acessories.

So far for me 50\50

I bought a Shuttle AK35GT2R motherboard recently. Other than coming in the wrong box (the box was for a Pentium 4 motherboard) and missing the backplate, it was as new and worked perfectly.

I have purchased a few refurbs from NewEgg, one had a leaky cap, they were really good about exchanging. The problem normally is getting on the deal before that anandtech effect happens once the refurbs are posted.

Actually, this is untrue. No restocking fee is assessed - at least for refurbished motherboards (YMMV on items of other types). Received a prompt, full refund for a refurbished motherboard. I mistakenly ordered the wrong model (P4PE/L v. P4PE/R/L/SATA). Refund credited back to card two days after the board was received back in California.

In regards to the original post, the board functioned perfectly. Board only, in white OEM box. Uncertain of other manufacturers, but Asus will provide an accessory kit containing all the cabling, adapters, brackets, I/O shield, etc for a nominal fee.

Do hope this helps.
