NewEgg has another (if not more) refurbed Asus P4PE/R/L/SATA for $79 shipped...

HERE

Some people say why post if there's only one? Who knows if there's only one. Should you only post a Hot Deal if there's what...a minimum of 10? 100? 1000? Not everybody gets in on a Hot Deal as we all know, so get 'em while they last. :)

If you really don't get any of the "extras" with the referb (like the description says), this might not be worth the hassle... I just put together a system with one of these boards for a friend and they come with a lot of extra parts (firewire, optical/digital audio, usb, joystick, SATA cables, etc.). Finding replacements for them could be tough and eat up any money saved.

Then again, referb boards from Newegg often come with all the parts even though it says they don't...

PS. It's a really nice motherboard.

I just had a P4B266-C die on me and even though it's under warranty it's going to be 3 - 4 weeks 'till I get my board back via RMA. I've been itching to upgrade to a P4PE but didn't want to spend the $$$ with the new Intel chipsets right around the corner. That is until this deal came along. I picked up one and even with 2 day FedEx to FL it's $91 to the door.

The only weird thing about this is if you look at the model number (P4PE/R/L/SATA) on the refurb and compare it to the full priced model here, you'll see that RAID isn't mentioned on the refurb. Still a good deal even without the RAID.

Thanks HardWired - You just got my primary system back up and running about 3-4 weeks sooner than expected! :D

PS: Stock shows 9 left now

They can't give you this board without RAID, it's built in. Unless they rip it out. lol This is a great board. I have had absolutely no trouble and it is rock solid stable even with my high overclock. I got a full retail version, not a refurb though..

Yeah I know the RAID is onboard. I'm just wondering if they confused the model number on the refurb. I'll be happy if it's stable with or without RAID. :)

Yes, for sure the "R" in R/L/SATA refers to the Raid controller, so even if some accessories are missing, none are needed to take advantage of the onboard Raid controller function.

chances are you'll get a retail package with everything included. trust me I have purchased many refurb items from newegg and they all came with everything included in a retail package. although I might have been lucky ;).

I got in this same deal last week from Newegg. Mine was board only in a plain white box.

Don't hold you breath on getting any of the accessories.

I wouldn't call them obsolete. They might not be the newest technology anymore but this is still a great board at a good price. Also, don't forget that to take advantage of dual DDR you'll need a pair of speedy DDR sticks to run in those new 865/875 boards.

I got this board about a week ago. Didn't come with ANYTHING but the board and a plain box. Works beautifully though. For less than $80, I'd highly recommend it as long as you already have some spare cables and such.

Mine just arrived via 2-day FedEx. Came in a FedEx "large" box. Inside that was a smaller white box packed around foam peanuts. Inside there is the board and only the board in a static bag. No extras at all. I didn't need or expect any though. Will post the results after I get this thing installed.
