Refurbish laser printers? Is it worth it?

I am not using this forum to sell. Just for advice. I actually have no provisions to ship anyways.....

Since 2015 I have had great success buying pallets of laser printers and fixing + selling them on Craigslist locally. As of this year the sales have stalled and I am trying them even cheaper. I have my CL ads loaded with pics, a nice detailed description and also demo videos.

I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to why the used laser printer market has stalled this year? Me personally being "in the know" would always prefer to buy a used high quality business class laser cheap, than to get a cheap crap inkjet at a big box store and have to throw it out in a year due to dried ink.

Personal laser printers are already cheap. Not to mention that the need to print is becoming less frequent. I bought a HP multifunction laser printer/scanner/copier a few years ago, and I'm still on the original toner cartridge.

As other have said, people just don't print much anymore.

I to got fed up with dried up ink.

I bought a Samsung ML-2950 wireless, mono, laser printer (refurbished/Newegg for $29 - list price about $300).

It took 3 years to use up the short fill OEM cartridge. Bought 2 high capacity (2500 page) cartridges off of eBay for $8 each. It can sit, unused, for months and fire up and perform just like new. I'm set for life.

Yep, my peak of printing was while doing my Master's Degree while my wife was doing her Bachelors. After we finished all that up, our printing fell through the absolutely floor. Like, maybe 2-4 pages per month. We have a Brother MFC that's printheads started acting up like 2 years ago. It's just used as a scanner now. We have a brother monochrome laser that we use for all of our printing now, what little we do of it.
