Refurb phones from ATT

Blackberry pearl or samsung blackjack for only 29 bucks (no mail in rebates to wait on either) for the refurb version. anyone tried out these phones? any suggestions? I've never bought anything refurb before, why shouldn't i start now?

Refurb or not, they're in like-new condition. My recently ex-GF got in on the Blackberry Pearl deal when they were selling for $40 on AT&T's website. She received everything you would expect, and the phone was in mint condition. I couldn't tell any difference except her getting a sweet deal at a great price.

I planned to buy the same phone but the price has jumped quite a lot. Opted for a new AT&T Tilt for $175 from NewEgg instead.

I've had both of these refurbs so far and they have been like new. Absolutely nothing wrong with them and now all the refurbs actually have ATT software and badging on them, rather than Cingular software and badging.
