Refurb Nook Touch $79

I'd pretty much like one - it supports both their better support for public domain books than Amazon, and keeps competition - but they're releasing a better model soon.

😕

The Nook Touch is brand new. I doubt we'll see another e-ink Nook for another year. There's a rumored Nook Color 2, but at this point tablets and e-readers are becoming different markets so there's no reason to discount the Nook Touch just because another Color is right around the corner. You either want e-ink for reading or you want a tablet that can also play media and web browse... different needs/wants.

From what I've read, the colored screens are not ideal for reading. E-ink has no light source, so it's easier on the eyes, like real paper. Color readers are basically just small laptop screens, or tablets, and don't use the technology that makes an e-reader an e-reader.

I picked one of these up, have been wanting one of these since they came out.
