Just got mine, I had ordered from last Saturday I think.

DEFINATELY NOT BAREBONE AND DEFINATELY 2.0!!

YMMV I guess but I'm pretty stoked, has S-ATA adapter and cable, firewire and usb risers, backplate, floppy cable and ata133 cable, manual, and its version 2.0 board. On top of it all, newegg also got me a DLT3C 1700+ thoroughbred B. Should be browsin at 2.2 GHz or higher later today.

I was originally upset when 1.0 refurb showed up. But it does 216 fsb rock solid
with latest BIOS. And thats with all three memory slots populated , not too shabby.
Bottom line, dont be upset if you get 1.0. Put ArcticSilver on NB , flash 1.9 BIOS and it will be just as good as 2.0

2.00 GHz

15.0 x 133 with the 1700+ DLT3C that was also in my order. I really like this board and newegg.

I'll go higher when I get decent RAM, still using generic Free After Rebate stuff.

just got my package.

it arrived exactly like yours.... version 2.0 in retail box with ALL accessories. seems to good to be true... I gotta wait till I get my HSF from SVC (won't be in until Wednesday :( ) before I try it out. I just hope the mobo is not dead.... all this excitement for nothing.

I also received a DLT3C 1700+ 0312SPMW from newegg...

I am 1 for 2 with Newegg refurbs . The price differential is just not enough for me to take the risk ( waste of time and hassle of sending it back ) again .

ok.... I got my nf7-s 2.0, i got my 1700+ dlt3c...but I only have pc2700 ram (a 256mb kingmax and a 512mb crucial)

does this board allow me to run my FSB at 200MHz and memory at a lower speed?

Yeah but I don't know why you would.

Just got a Abit version 1.0 in the mail for $59. Anyone have any luck in RMA'ing thier version 1.0 boards and getting some better version. Damn I did not know the 1.0 board would not have an hole mounts for my Alpha PAL8045. Would newegg take it if it has no problems with it? Don't want to give up the alpha yet.

The Abit NF7-S refurbs go quickly...if it is in working order, $59 is a great price. Of course you can send it back, but Newegg is all out of stock now. The only thing even close to getting based on their refurb inventory at the moment is the Epox 8RDA...although it is a far cry from being the overclocker the NF7-S is.

Monster motherboard, probably one of two the best N-Force 2. The BIOS issues in versions below 2 are quite annoying. BIOS update is almost neccessary to avoid corruption problems.
I am running version 1.1 with updated BIOS at 200 MHz with good old Samsung CTL in dual channel. Yeah, PC 2700 just like PC 3200 at 2.5-3-3-7.

Just ordered the NF7. I almost ordered a new one a few days ago, but I was trying to fiscally responsible. Hopefully, I will get the REV 2.0 board and this will be a good deal.

I ordered my first refurb from Newegg last week, a 9600PRO. It came in good shape and seems to work fine, but it won't overclock very high. Can't complain, though.

I got my board yesterday. I received a rev 2.0 with all the accessories. Everything except the USB connector was still sealed in bags. The board looks ok, but marks around the screw holes indicate it was at least installed in a case by someone. I'm going to try and test it out tonight. If it works, $59 for a rev 2 board will definitely be a smokin' deal.

Good luck pps with your new boards (and mine) :)

You know, I sent back an NF7 that didn't work (I think I cracked it or something) after I installed a new heatsink. I made sure to include all the included accessories. Then yesterday I realized I still had the driver CD.

Anyways, do you think they actually test things to see if they work? If it doesn't, do they fix it? RMA it to Abit? Throw it away?
