refurb MSI gf4 ti4600 for $229 , ti500 for $89...

WOW! those are great deals....must resists. I just dumped my bike on the freeway from one of those racks you mount behind your car. There goes 200 bucks just to fix that. Can't afford anymore computer gear. Ugh...not to mention my girl keeps me from playing my games much so there is not much point.

Refurbished wouldn't be the same as OEM would it? I just bought a ti 500 for 125 shipped, but it was from an oem bundle, where they get a pack of like 30 and they sell them.

Would there be any risk buying refurbished?

Also wheres the 10% coupon you guys are talking about? thanks.

I was going to wait for the announcement and such of the new Radeon 9700 (r300) for the new comp I am making, but a GF3 TI 500 for $97.10 shipped 2 day air........I figure I can use it for a year and half and see what comes out in Q1 2004. Bah great deal if it works.......and also spent just 15 mins ago $123 shipped ground for Mushkin 512meg pc2700 ddr. I am in the major poor house now. I think I need to abstain from Anandtech Hot Deals forums for a bit. heh

Edit: Oh by the way.......GF4 TI 4600 for about $240 shipped is a stea! Even though it is a refurb it includes all the software and game titles, best price you will see till end of year. If only I had the cash, I would have bought that instead of the GF3 Ti 500. I am also currently running the MSI GF4 TI 4400 on this computer on a Gigabyte GA-7VRXP rev 1.1 board and no stability problems whatsoever.

I took the plunge this morning and ordered the Geforce3 Ti500.

Has anyone seen any reviews for this particular card? I figure it has to be better than a Radeon DDR 64MB video card and at that price you can't go wrong.

BTW - The total was $96.10 with 2 day shipping.

MSI makes a card called the 8854 which is a tv in tv out version of this.

this card is an OEM one. MSI makes the 8853 also , it is OEMd out to PNY . the PNY verto ti500 is this card. check that anandtech review, and it says so there.

i've had a pny ti500, and its a good card. good 2d, etc. if you click the picture on the ti500 page, it even looks like a blurry pny logo on the fan.
