This is a refurb and it says no cradle or charger, but still a good deal for the price. You can pick up a charger and cable pretty cheap I think.

There is also a coupon floating around that takes it to $180.

This is cheap, mild Mexican food hot when you consider how many people got in on the PM through Target to get iPaq 3765 (64MB RAM) retail box for $229 after MIR...

Yea- unless it comes with the CF expansion sleeve (can anybody tell?), it's a warm deal. Cradle would be about $30, AC adapter about $10 . . . probably comes out to like $220. But if you get the CF sleeve, it's pretty good.

Ha! The battery on my original 3650 stopped holding a charge. Sent it to Compaq for repairs and they sent me back a new replacement with charger and cradle (I still had the originals). I'm really tempted to take advantage of this... wonder if I'll get back my original iPaq :Q

the 3650 comes with the basic sleeve, not the CF sleeve. the CF sleeve is like 39.99, the usb cradle is 39.99 @ compusa. it cost $224 to get your lcd screen replace by compaq. if u bought the ipaq and the screen is crack, the warranty does not kover it.

I ordered mine on 4/9 received it on 4/12, put the unit on a charger, tried to use it on 4/13, won't work unless it's on the charger. No warranty, Called Compaq and they say waranty expired on 3/29. Got RMA on 4/15, sending it back. 🙁

:disgust: Must be a new definition of "refurbished"...

Mine had the plastic stylus jammed into the stylus slot 180 degrees from the correct orientation (it only goes in one way). Had to pry it out with pliers and now it does not stay in the slot. I may test the unit and, if it works, just pick up a nice leather case with a slot to hold the stylus.

Bleh.

Hate to say I told you so...

Compaq has similar deals in their own online outlet store; they sell you bundles of 2 refurbished ipaqs for a discounted price (in the $434-$554 range for 2 Ipaqs, depending on the model, 3635 '32MB' or 3765 '64MB', in any combination); their web site also mentions that the ipaq may not come with all accessories. Check it out here:

Not a hot deal either, but just pointing out alternative sources if you don't want to wait for another deal, and don't want to pay "full" price 😛

Well, mine doesn't hold a charge either. Same problem my original unit had when I sent it in for replacement. Seems obvious that Overstock didn't really get units that were fixed.

I wonder if anyone got a good unit...

Mine was shipped with the switch in the on position. Compaq says the warr expired on 3/29.
I was going to try a 24 hr charge, but based on what I am hearing, it dosent seem like a good lot.
Will we be stuck paying 15% restock? don't know that I feel like paying $27 bucks when it was
not an isolated case. (did they test them at all?) Mine also has the typical "dust" problem

This is a problem with all IPaq's. The have lithium polymer batteries which 'dry out' when discharged. Compaq says the device will only run on an avg. of 14 hours and battery life is only 1 year. I guess most of these refurb's have original battery and are over a year old.

I called overstock and they offered to let me return it
no restock fee and no shipping charges.
Hopefully the instructions arrive tomorrow, and my audiovox & luggage gets here thursday🙂

I also picked up one of these to replace my 3635 broken screen unit. I have had good luck with overstock in the past but to receive the 3650 DOA with the inability to charge didn't thrill me. It works nicely in the my old cradle. Just received my RMA to send it to buyessex. I hope I receive a replacement. Also... Compaq said the "factory refurb" warrauntee (sp!) was expired!
:disgust:😀:|:Q:|😀:|:Q:|😀:|:Q😛:Q:|:Q😛:Q:|:Q😛😎😛😎

SO overstock will replace it, not refund? I was under the impression he was offering me a refund
and they are all out of them? After 3 charge/discharge cycles I was able to get my unit up to 10 minutes
with the backlight on! not quite what I wanted in a pda 🙂

This was my deal, and I hate it that it turned out this way. Mine holds a charge OK, but the stylus latch is broken and it looks like it has been kicked accross a parking lot, lots of dust under the screen, etc. Also the contacts restored from the person who had it originally, pretty scary. Compaq strongly suggested I return it when I called them, and also said the warranty had expired. I explicity told Overstock they had misrepresented this item, that it was not refurbished, and I wanted a refund. The woman said to put a note in the box explaining what was broken, so I assume they are actually going to check it out when I return it.
