I have one of these but got it from DELL , mine has what looks like a small quarter size depression , like your finger was pressed on the screen.

I never notice it in games or movies , but you can see it on a light background, but most people don't notice till I point it out.

I'm looking for a 17" LCD, but I'm not sure why I would want one of these. For $10-20 more (AR), I have several models to choose from. All of them are new and have a warranty between 1-3 years. Is there something better about the Dell's? Thanks.

Dell
is a good Quality product, no guess work ,

I have one and i am very happy with it,
EVEN for gaming(BF, HL2 Doom3...)

The price without rebate is unbeatable, and you will have no problem with the imperfection,
unless
what you like to do is just stare at the screen.

4 now im tired of rebates especially $80 ones that can take what seems like forever.

for gaming, movie watching, or just lugging it around 179 shipped NO rebate is HOT in my opinion.

Not hot for a refurb with blemishes......yuck....

I can get a brand new Acer 17" for $229 w/free shipping from Buy.com with a 3yr. warranty and NO blemishes.

It might be a better deal if it was JUST a refurb, but adding the blemishes for that price?? NOT hot....sorry....

I'll take a new one anyday 🙂
