$99.99+ tax, shipped at Walmart.

This is the standard price for Brother refurbs, but this is the first time in a while I've come across one sold by a major retailer, at least since the semiconductor apocalypse started.

It has wireless networking, but only includes a 630 page starter cartridge (which is refillable, with tons of how-to videos on Youtube).

And, the best thing about buying from Walmart is that there are plenty of stores around where you can easily return it to if it doesn't work properly or meet your requirements.

Looks like they must had made a mistake and fixed it--how showing $599. :(

This is the newer version of the 7860DW that I have had since 2013. That 'starter' toner cartridge lasted over a year and a half. I'm still on my 'full' cartridge and it will probably last until 2025. You don't really have to worry about toner cartridges when using a laser at home. :D

The only real drawback about this machine is the lack of an ethernet port, which is surprising since it has wifi. I suspect it actually has one, but nothing seems to indicate that it does. I know brother does this with their very lowest end product in a line along with removing some other key features, so this may not be the best machine if you need those features.

Monochrome :(

Also, out of curiosity, I looked around, and there is literally nowhere saying it has a wired ethernet port. Amazon questions "is this a WiFi or Wired" is basically "this is WiFi" and specs seem to go out of their way to avoid mentioning wired ethernet for this specific model (most specs and manuals are for multiple models)

I have a Canon Color Laser MFC I'm quite happy with. It has its flaws, but for the most part, it works well on my wired network, can scan over the network (duplex even), and there are third party toner carts available for it.

Yeah, that is a 3rd party seller. When I posted it yesterday, it was listed as being sold and shipped by Walmart.

It is actually a discontinued model using the older style toner cartridges and drums, so I'm not surprised that Walmart didn't have a lot of them.

It specifically doesn't mention an ethernet port in the specs section of the Brother support site, so I'm sure it doesn't have one.

I bought one last week. It looks like it has very little use. According to the page counter, there were 79 pages printer. It set up easily and prints well.

Unfortunately, there is no ethernet port. There is a USB printer port, a telephone line in port and a telephone out port.

I am happy with it for $100.

The jump back to $599 was for a new unit, not refurb.

I added it (refurb'd) to notification for restock...got an email at 6am today that more came in...by the time I checked the site/page an hour later, they were gone again already. :(

FYI, this refurb is back in stock at Walmart.com - original link above is valid again for Walmart as the seller.
