I already have 1 of these, and unlike others have no issues with it. I bought a 2nd 1 this past week just cuz of this refurb deal. It should be here Wednesday, and I already emailed rma@asus.com for a I/O shield. They will send the shield free, but told me the Sli Bridge would cost $10 and shipping if I wanted that.

Well I just called ASUS (15 minutes on hold) and they are shipping me the I/O cover for free via USPS.

Did anyone get the SLI connecter for free? I didn't ask even though I should have. =/

Can't wait to get the backplate, 7800 GT, and new power supply :)

Just some help on this particular refurb. I have always bought nforce 2 refurbs because I had the chipset driver disc.

What would I do about the chipset drivers for the board? Wont I need this for the ethernet driver also?

Thanks, Leigh

Exactly. If the fan is square to the board, it's the original fan. If it's at a 45 degree angle to the rest of the board, it's the replacement fan.

Replacement of the original fan isn't tough, but you have to remove the motherboard, which requires disconnecting most of what you have connected, to do so.

WoW, I bought one and it is stripped clean. I mean just the bare motherboard, no cables, no drivers, no IO shield, no manual. Nothing

Does a PCI video card work with this board. I want to use a old card for testing and wait for a deal on a PCIe card

Also, I seem to have the original fan. Does ASUS send a replacement fan for free?

Ordered the "Accessory kit" today. What's in it exactly? Everything that comes with the board normally hopefully...

"Looks like"? Are you basing that on personal experience or what you found on the web? Maybe I should have been clearer... I thought the "what's in it exactly" would have made it clear.

If anyone has ordered and received their "accessory kit", could they let us know what exactly was in there? That appears to be what should be in the retail box. The question is does the accessory kit contain everything that should have been included in the retail version?

No I have not ordered the kit and hence dont have them. I would have asked them before ordering. Why would you order something before knowing whats in there? Are you mainly looking for the IO shield and the cables?
