Looks like the real deal to me, 256bit memory. Not sure if the price is fair though, its a fairly old card and newer chips are so much faster.

I bought this same card for the same price about 4 months ago. Fantastic purchase. Doom 3 @ 10x7 @ High @ 40fps in Timedemo. In game, it usually stays around 50+ fps. Good enough for me.

While the X700XT and 6600GT will certainly make the new $200 9800 Pros look like bad deals, I'm not sure why I cannot find it right now but I believe there was a recent article on Anandtech with graphs that showed the top perfroming video cards and then when you moused over them they'd change to show you the best price/performing ones. Even though the 9700Pro was much slower it was consistently at the top if not the best value card, and for a refurbished price its hard to lose unless you absolutely have to have that insane performance at high resolutions.

I ordered the 9800 pro refurb.. seems like its worth the extra 20 over the 9700pro
hope everything works out with the card being refurbished and all...should be fine and i can always return it i think. the doom3 benchies show this card does 42fps at 1024 w/ high quality. My 9500 softmodded to 9700 only pulls 21fps on the same settings ....i think ill be happy with the buy.
thanks for your help guys

The 6600GT is approximately twice as fast as a 9700Pro in Doom 3.
