take a dump in the ice maker. The next person to use it will have fudge!

Be sure to do that while the hot gas bypass solenoid is energized. If you want a sundae, might as well be hot fudge. D:

I have this issue but for different reasons.

I have a LG fridge and it has a optical sensor instead of a physical arm and it' doesn't work for shit.

Thankfully there's a switch on the ice maker to turn it off when you want so I'll just let it fill up the bin and turn it off and then turn it back on when it gets low.

One of those cases where trying to use new technology just didn't work out well.

Why in the world would they use an optical sensor for that? Even I could tell you that would be trouble. Capacitive proximity is where it's at if you want "high tech". ;)

Not so sure about the Lucky Goldstar any more. Pabo! :D

Ok so I checked on the fridge when I got home and it's working fine now. I guess the evil spirit that possessed it before has left.
