This is because you are either:

1. Ghey
2. French or Canadian
3. Both 1 and 2
4. Have damaged your taste buds from stamp licking

They opened the first one in the general Boston area last week, and it did over $70,000 in business on its first day.

Also opened up one in Australia. Dunkin Donut's is going to regret trying to move in on KK's turf. They have one nearby and it usually averages 1 car in the parking lot, quite often there is not even a car there. Whereas the local KK has about 5 cars lined up in drive thru and at least 10 in the parking lot every time I go.

There's a great article in this month's FORTUNE magazine (no link, sorry...they don't post the articles on their site as far as I can tell) about KK. How they started, why they've done so well from a business standpoint and why the company is an amazing investment.

Hey, I can be a nerd in more than 1 way...diversity!

mmmmm...donuts

EDIT: I was wrong - here's the Krispy Kreme wonder story.

I'm not sure why lots of folks are so gung-ho about KK. I prefer either Dunkin' Donuts or Southern Maid, myself.

Wow, that must have been contagious...I just checked on the kk website. It looks like they are not accepting any more US franchises so you would have to open one in another country....that is if you meet their criteria for being an owner.
