Do you know of a good freeware utility to force refresh rates? I have tried out Power Strip but I dont want to shell out $30 just so I can get the refresh rates I should be getting anyways. Regular desktop use is fine, but when I switch to games it drops to 60 Hz. I also tried out another program from EnTech called MultiRes but then I have to alt tab back to the desktop and manually switch it every time. Any programs, tweeks, or reg entries that can give me my desired refresh rate? Im running Xp Pro with a Geforce 2 TI.

Go Run
Dxdiag
more help
override
enter it there

The DXDiag thing works but it looks like its a problem with Windows XP. I put a link in my sig.
NVRT seems to be down atm but I will definatley check that out and Riva Tuner. Thanks!

Riva Tuner is by far the best way to handle the issue.

Please do a search in the video forum as this topic is asked many, many times.

RivaTuner is more for advanced users and overclocking. I think it's best to download something that is totally dedicated to the fix, like NVRefreshTool or RefreshForce.
