reformatting help.

hey all,
when i did my computer a while ago, i made three partitions. 2 for data storage/ installing programs and 1 for the OS. If i format my os partition and reinstall the os, will i have to reinstall all my stuff? i know that some of the programs require registry entry, but some stuff like games and other things i dont want to have to deal with. any help woudl be great. thanks.

Anything that is a windows program will have to be reinstalled. (more or less, yes there are exceptions, most of them being cheesy little shareware games or something).

if i exported the registry. reformatted/reinstalled xp then imported the registry, would i have the same problems with the os that i am having now? would this even work well?

What I would recommend is just formatting and starting from scratch if you are having problems, it may seem like some trouble, but it will probably be worth it.
