Reformating

Man what a refreshing thing for a clouded PC. I just reformatted and reinstalled Windows and things are so fast. I normally do this about every 2-3 months. What about you guys?

Yeah... it seems like there are ways to avoid reformatting windows.. but uh.. it takes a longer time to figure those ways out than it does to reformat and install. Anyways, I never feel really clean untill I really clean, seen.

Hmmm...I don't seem to have the "OS decay" problem since switching to W2K, but then again, I tend to upgrade every 6-8 months so there really isn't time for decay to occur. Windows 95 and 98 were notorious for going to hell in a handbasket though...

Almost every OS suffers from decay. With Windows the best turnaround is to have Symantec Ghost (or some similar program, I don't know others) and have your image burned just after you installed Windows.
