Reformating Harddrive

I tried installing Windows 2000 Pro on a new Maxtor Harddrive, while in the process of installing it i opened the cd rom by mistake and the formatting froze. Now when I boot up my system it says "operating system failed to load" or something and I don't know what to do. I tried downloading Powermax to low level format my harddrive but "Cannot load DOS!" Please help me.
 
Try just running Win2000 Setup from the CD again. When you get to the place where it thinks about the hard drives, delete any "unformatted/damaged" partitions (heck, delete all of them 🙂), create them again and carry on. Welcome to the Forums, hope that helps 🙂
 
as mech said try to running win2k from the cd and delete any created partions .... welcome to the forums and please dont double post
