ok so I've never had to reformat but this is what I'm trying to do. right now I have a Vista HD and a XP HD in the same computer. I am reformatting the vista drive so I can start over with 64 bit. I don't need anything on my xp drive. can I reformat my xp drive, move my important stuff to it, reformat my vista drive, reinstall drivers and vista and what not, and move important stuff back?
I'm figuring yeah but I'm unsure on how to go about this. can I just right click my XP drive while in vista and hit format? I won't need to reinstall an OS on that drive right? also if I can do that what do I use for allocation unit seize, volume label, and is it safe to run a quick format?
