Refilling Ink Cartridges.

I have an Epson 777 printer. Does anyone know how to "Reprogram" the ink cartridge's chip? Is it just recharging a battery on the chip, or does an actual program need to be installed on it? There's a company that sells a "Reprogrammer Kit" for them for about $50.00.

According to this page, you need to first refill the empty cartridges, then you need another set of new full cartridges to serve as "masters" to copy the ink levels over to the other chips. Sounds complicated.. Boo Epson! But looks like you can get them cheaper than $50...

Phatty106,

If interested search in the "General Hardware Forum" for "Epson Printers" and check out the links, etc., in there. I found a good one.
