Refillable Compressed air can system

Well using a regular air compressor is considered a Bad Idea with computer parts, because they don't blow out pure air or propellants that dissipate like "canned air" products. Compressors blow out oil, moisture, et cetera. Even if this little unit doesn't end up with oil in the can, it'll probably end up with a lot of moisture condensing inside the air as it's compressed, and going into the can, and you end up spraying it out onto your electronics. How much moisture would be dependent on the humidity when you compressed it of course.

If you shop around you could probably get a few dozen cans of air for the same price, more convenient and more certain to be safe to use. I wouldn't expect using that compressor to outright kill many components, but the statistical odds are probably higher than regular canned air.

True but it refills the can with compressed air. The compressor doesn't do anything else.

Just wanted to know if there is another company that makes something similiar to the link.

I bought one of those a few years ago and it's a joke. Filled up to 100PSI it can only spray for about 10 seconds. My can is a little smaller than that one looks, but not by much.

I've also tried those little CO2 dusters and, though they're better than this, they are nothing compared to a normal can of compressed "air."

The distributor, Advantus, seems to have this product on its web site for $30.

Looks like there's a hand-pumped version, too, for $14. But don't let anybody in the office see you pumping it. 😛

Also, I see that the containers will accept a bicycle pump or automotive compressor fitting for refill.

The total refillable duster system. Duster can be refilled up to 100 times, with each refill providing up to 50 dust cleaning bursts of natural air. The compressor has a 6' cord and works from household AC current.

I wonder what happens when you refill it the 101st time. Do you void the warranty?

50 cleaning "bursts", meaning half-second shots when everyone in the world just cleans dust by holding the trigger until the dust is gone or it runs dry (or with real canned air, until the can is too cold to hold).

Natural air incidentally is pretty damn dirty. I'd rather blow artifical but clean air when I'm trying to clean something.
