Redundent power supplies and UPSs

So obviously I have multiple servers with redundent power supplies and about 6 UPSs. Which is the proper setup?

Each power supply into a separate power strip, and then into different UPS &
I don't know much, but I know I love you, and that may be all I need to know

How are the first two really any different? Are your power strips not capable of handling the load of two power supplies?

Separate powers strips provide another layer of protection.

I guess the first two are pretty close to the same, but like Zim mentioned, it technically adds another layer.

Howso? He didn't mention surge protection/suppression, and not all strips have breakers either.

You should use a different UPS for each one of redundant supplies - so that each server is connected to 2 UPSs.

Ideally each UPS should be on a different socket outlet on a different breaker - You don't strictly need a seperate breaker for each UPS, as long as each server is connected to 2 seperate breakers via 2 UPSs.
