I'll have to check on service charges when I get the paper copy of the bill... but here's this month and last month...

Billing Date/ Days in Cycle / ccf / Charges

4/21/2008 32 21 $42.14
3/20/2008 29 55 81.64

Dryer is billed to the building, not the tenants, since it's in the basement and shared.

I'm gonna turn down the temp on the water heater a bit and see if that shows a change, seeing as I see no reason to keep SCALDING hot water. Good idea/Bad idea?

I'm trying to become a real cheapass, so I don't care how minuscule of savings it is as long as I'm making progress.

Good idea. We keep ours set so that we shower in nearly all-hot water (almost no cold mixed in). The only real down side is in the washer, "Hot" isn't really "Hot", but that's not much of a down side.

The other hot water user, the dishwasher, has it's own heating element.
