Redsox will win 97 games and the AL East

lol. They'll get 97 and lose the East to the Yankees.

As long as my O's knock them out of playoff contention in the last game of the season, I'll be happy.

Even with the extra playoff spot the Sox are going to be on the outside looking in.

Yankees win the east, Tigers the central, Angels the west, Ray and Rangers sneak in the back door. And just like last year, the Sox get a couple of extra weeks off over the winter to cry in their beer.

aren't they doing things the billy beanne way now?
I don't recall BB being a bigmouth, look-at-me-first manager like Valentine...

The Sox have a lot of work to do to get 97 wins. To spout that kind of shit now is just dumb and makes us other fans look arrogant and clueless. *shrug*

Yankees in the AL East. Sox may have a fight on their hands just to win the wild card; they may not have the pitching.

I took the Rays to win the AL East:

Winner of 2012 AL East
Tampa Bay Rays 6.050

Bet some over/unders too; we'll see how those go:

Atlanta Braves Regular Season Wins
Under 87.5 Wins 1.676

Arizona Diamondbacks Regular Season Wins
Over 86.5 Wins 1.893

NY Yankees Regular Season Wins
Under 94.5 Wins 1.877

San Francisco Giants Regular Season Wins
Under 87.5 Wins 1.735

Such a long wait to see the results!

Why should we care? The organization is run by a bunch money grubbing vampires. Worst of all, they have that loud mouth as a manager. Really, WTF were they thinking? They can take their KFC and leave for all I care. Maybe if they actually spent money on something besides "improving Fenway park" (ie, squeeze more seats to sell more tickets), things would be better. But no, it's the same crap every year. Just spend money on mediocre players and try to become the Yankees. If we do not win, we can still save fans by signing town favorites to over paid contracts. hey, as long as you keep the pink hats in the seats I guess.

Was Valentine a loud mouth when he managed the Mets? I don't remember him taking so many cheap shots back then.
