Redskins cut Suisham after crucial botched FG

it was either him or the coach, if he missed another one.

and yes i'm totally stealing Tony Dungy's thoughts on the matter from Sunday night 😀

Whew!

I, for one, am satisfied that they finally found the reason for the shittiness of this team and dealt with it promptly and effectively!

Bout time....but then look at what happened to Mike Vanderjagt, perfect to out of a job in just 2 years..........

sure, had nothing to do with not being able to get a touchdown with first and goal on the 4.

This. Kickers get a hard time for missing, but rarely does rest of the offense get any heat for not getting the job done in the first place.

One of the few kickers to deserve all the heat was Anderson in the 99 NFC championship. Why'd you have to make every kick all season and miss that one, you jerk?!? 😡

Unbelievable. He is obviously a talented kicker who hit a rough stretch.

He was 5 for 5 from 40-49.

It wasn't as if the Skins were going anywhere this season.

What a pathetic, disfunctional organization. I see no hope for them without some massive changes from top to bottom.

I actually feel sorry for the beloved patriot's defense. They are plucky and resourceful, yet their offense can't drive worth a damn.

Kicker's job is to put the bow on the package. The offense has to put the gift in the box.

I am not even much of a football fan and I wanted to kick that quarterbacks ass.. potentially greatest game of the year and that idiot threw the game away. He probably cut a deal somewhere to throw that game..

OLD NEWS!!

but im glad, he chokes. he cost the skins the past 2 games single handedly.

you must not have been watching the same game. The Redskins did everything in their power, both in regulation and overtime, to lose that game.

Not much of a fan? Don't know a whole lot about the game, either?

The kicker, as mentioned above, is the fall back play because the quarter back, running backs, wide receivers, and offensive line, couldn't do THEIR job and score a TOUCHDOWN. Kickers can certainly win games for a team, but I don't think it's ever fair to say that a kicker LOST a game for a team.

Kicking in football is as unpredictable and inconsistent as relief pitching in baseball. Cutting this guy might have made them feel better there's no guarantee a replacement will be better. Stupid move.

It had to happen... I was at that New Orleans game, to come that close to beating probably the best team in the NFL, and lose on a kick that I probably could have made is unacceptable. Talk about taking the wind out of your sails.
