Rediff-Mail > G-Mail

You are all right, Rediff-Mail < G-Mail, I just haven't recieved an invite yet, nor do I really care since I use SMTP\POP3 supported mail.
 
I've used both. Rediff is much slower (mainly due to server distance) where as Gmail is very responsive, and better GUI.

how are free email services not free?

Excluding hotmail, of course. They obviously sell your address to spammers and cause you illness using their voodoo.😉
