REDHAT 8 command line startup

i just installed redhat 8 on a dual boot win2kpro system. when it gets to the login prompt (i chose text mode login) i type in my password, whioch it accepts, but then brings up a bash command line. I cant get past this. anybody know how I can get into xwindows from here?

Type in startx.

and to automatically start xwindows upon bootup you need to edit the following file:

/etc/inittab

once you open it up change the startup from runlevel 3 to 5, should be self explainatory once you open the file
