Sorry if this is off topic, but I know that a lot of people who have ordered the Palm M100 for 99 bucks from redgorilla are wondering, 1. where the heck is my palm. 2. am i gonna receive it at all? 3. What now?

Since redgorilla cannot fulfill our 1 year contract, we can certainly get our money back. I've never filed this with my Credit Card company before, so if anyone here has done this before, could you tell me what I can do? Also, if anyone has any details regarding this issue, please fill us in. All I've heard was that handango.com is the company that sends the M100 out, so we should still be getting em when more of the shipments arrive. If everything goes well, we can get the palm and get a refund from redgorilla. Now THAT would be a SWEET deal. 🙂

Unfortunately, Im still waiting for my m100, Im a little concerned 🙁
 
Well technically we were paying for the premium services for one year..... So we might have an out. It does kinda suck, because I was using they're software....

It worked great for entering billing and expenses on my nextel phone..... The WAP features were kinda cool. But one wonders when they thought they were going to become profitable?

It's kinda scary how many DOT.coms are failing...... I heard rumors that ONVIA laid off a bunch of people this week...
 
im glad i got in on this way at the beginning of the summer. that was a great deal. i honestly didn't even really know what their software was for:/
 
There are some unethical people here that may have purchased over 200 palm IIIe's last year that contributed to the closing...

WHAT exactly did Redgorilla SELL?

Asking for your money back, and actually getting your money back from a failed company are two entirely different animals... 😀
 
In my personal expierences with companies going kaput....you may see 1/2 your money back.

It all depends on how you paid for the item, and how long ago you did. . .

Credit card (not debit) will get most your money back...abeit it'll take awhile unless you're paying extra for a "credit card protection" program, which is a big waste of money for most people.

Cash, check, and most debit cards....well, essentially a collection agency will try and get your money back. Even IF they do, they will probably take 1/2 + expenses....

*Currently I am waiting for the 30day minimun wait period to end so I can file fraud charges for a seller on eGay.....dude took my $220 and ran. Fortunately I used PayPal which has a $5000 protection for verified accounts (suposedly I'll get a full refund)....which he was. On eGay however, they only protect upto $250, minus $25 deduction.

But now the problem is: Is the Han** company which fulfill the Red Gorrila orders will still keep their promise. (They claimed they will accept all the unfulfilled orders).
 
Don't worry about it's demise. With all the progress that they are making with cloning it is possible that they could use a female of another species to breathe life into the species. Much the same way they are looking to try and do with that Mammoth they found.

Extracting the semen from the male Red Gorilla is a relatively easy process, and now that they are dead a far cry safer.
 
dangit, so what's going to happen with the m100 orders. i'm confused. i think i'm going to call my cc/bank company.

edit: Okay, so I called up my company (BofA) and filed a dispute claim. They are temporarily issuing my funds back and may require I provide additional information which will arrive to me in a few days. So far so good. But they say the temporary funds may be revoked if something goes wrong. Don't know what that means exactly. I'll find out later this week or early next I suppose.

How's everybody else handling this?

Damn. And they still owe me money for referrals. Oh well. Guess I'll contact the old CC company for my order and get them to refund my money. Looks like I got a free Palm IIIe. Best part is I traded my old Palm III to my younger brother for a mega pixel digital camera! This is going to be a fairly sweet deal for me.

I think they may have used yahoo accounts with the same address, I can't quite recall what they said...it would be highly immoral whatever the case. Keep in mind that early on, there was NO limit per person, per address, per anything, so it was legal. One might even make $9-10,000 on a deal that size because they were fleabaying for $149 all day long.
 
Well I actually used their service for the intended purpose (keeps track of hours to bill clients) and I can tell you it SUCKED! It was awkward, hard to use, could only mark an invoice as completed if you had them email it to the client, was slow, and just plain ugly. It's no wonder they went under.

Is everyone here clueless?? You have NO liability for the cc charges if has been less than 60 days since you received your cc statement with the redgorilla charge...

You really dont need someone to hold your hand to walk you through a credit card dispute...simply call the customer service number on the back of your cc and ask them what to do! or just look on the back of your statement and many have EXACT steps how to file a dispute.

The dispute MUST be in writing to be valid, just calling them doesnt count. They will issue a temporary credit for the full price. Even if you got the free Palm (or will be getting it) you are entitled to a FULL REFUND b/c what you were paying for was Redgorillas services, NOT THE PALM, which services they will not be able to provide...so many of yiu will end up getting a FREE PALM!!
