Are the forums different from the main website, ie, do i need to register for both?

I registered from the main site & recieved my password, logged into the main site, went to the forums to post & it shows me as "guest", with no users named Spacehead, but shows me logged in as Spacehead on the main site 😕

Reguarding registering

All three sites use seperate databases...sorry but its easier to manage that way and less quirks.
