Redbox carries a lot of knockoff crap and I think it's hurting their brand. I can see it in the anger of the reviewers.

For example, here are some movies they've had recently:
Car's Life 2 (knockoff of Cars)
American Warships (knockoff of Battleship)
Snow White: Deadly Summer (knockoff of Snow White and the Huntsman)

A lot of these movies are by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Asylum , which such knock-off blockbuster titles as The Terminators (knockoff of Terminator) and Transmorphers (Transformers).

What this company does, and Redbox is eager to help them with, is taken a current blockbuster, very slightly change its name, and write a story similar to the blockbuster version. It gets released after the blockbuster leaves theaters but before it's on DVD. These movies are all total garbage.

Personally, I do respect Redbox a lot less for partaking in this. I'd rather they bring back old movies than these new crap ones which some people (not me, thankfully) do seem to fall for and rent.

Have you seen the people that use Redbox? A decent amount are the Dredges of Society that can deal with netflix and love terrible movies like this.

Also prob something to do with contracts.

Not even safe to Redbox anymore, the horror. Honestly, I don't mind B movies, but I'm up on movies enough to know they are B movies, and they are only $1. There's something to be said for that, but I will agree, they need to expand their selection a bit.

It's $1. Honestly who cares. People shouldn't fall for rip offs anyways. A fool and their money..

I noticed a lot of these today when browsing Redbox.com. Its a good thing I don't watch a lot of movies as their current Top 20 list is just crap.

These sound like movies you see on SyFy channel. I guess its one thing to come across it on cable at 1AM in the morning, but to go out of your way to watch them...

Paying to rent some scratched up DVD used as a coaster or frizbie by the previous owner is a no go for me. Besides, film on plastic is soooo 1950-ish.
STREAM..... baby... STREAM!!!
